So today is the BIG day, it’s the 14th of February; Valentine’s Day!
It’s a big day for us in the dating and matchmaking industry as it makes singles extra aware that that someone special is still missing from their life and we usually see an increase in new clients signing up for our dating and matchmaking services. So yes, Valentine’s Day is good for business!
I know that quite a few people are still frantically looking for that special gift for their loved ones and are willing to spend at least double the money they would normally pay for something like roses, chocolates, Valentine’s dinners etc. So Valentine’s day is good for other businesses as well.
Valentine’s Day is a great tradition as I think we should take any excuse/reason to celebrate something and especially celebrate L O V E

Let’s make Valentine’s Day last 365 days of the year! Really, we have to celebrate love and show the people we love that we care not once a year – but all the time.
Of course I do not mean that you have to buy your loved one expensive Valentine’s Day gifts all the time. Showing someone you care has nothing to do with the amount of money invested in the Valentine’s day gift. Much more important is that a gift is thoughtful, sincere and genuine. A nice handwritten message for example, can have much more impact than a super expensive perfume or jewelry.
Spending quality time with the one you love and creating special beautiful moments together can (and should!) be done at any day of the year. So bring on St. Valentines 2014 and make it last 365 days!
