3 brilliant reasons why anyone in the matchmaking or dating industry should be in London from the 12th till the 16th of October
Next week I am taking time away from my clients and will fly to London to be part of the 2 major events in the matchmaking and dating industry.
The first one is the last Live

1 Learning
Even though I have been a professional matchmaker for over 17 years, I believe in learning from my colleagues and in sharing best practices with them. I always take away some valuable nugget of information or pearl of wisdom from the topnotch speakers. Invariably I pick up ideas, something I can improve, something I can relate to, something to think about, some food for thought, all the while appreciating the richness and variety of this international business of the heart. And who are the direct beneficiaries of this learning? My clients, of course!
2 Networking / Connecting
The opportunity of meeting with matchmakers and date coaches and other industry professionals from around the world is another fabulous reason to be in London from the 12th till 17th of October. Getting together with like-minded professionals who share the same work ethic in a spirit of openness allows us all to grow and create meaningful bonds. I can relate to the other matchmakers, understand their challenges, and they are as enthusiastic about spreading the love as I am.
Why would a matchmaker from a small country like Switzerland be interested in connecting with matchmakers from around the globe? Because our clientele is global and thanks to the network and connections created and maintained at these conferences, I can provide the ultimate matchmaking services to my clients. Just this past month, I organized dates in Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam London, Bern, Zurich, Geneva, Frankfurt, Dubai and New York……truly international!
3 Energize / Inspiration
A room filled with matchmakers and date coaches generates a powerful amount of positive energy – you literally feel the love in the air.
Being part of the matchmaker certification training of the Matchmaking Institute and Idate is of enormous value to me and, therefore to my clients. Every time I come back from these events with lots of new ideas, new matchmaker and dating expert contacts, and, best of all, bubbling with fresh energy and inspiration. And being able to also contribute actively to the success of the industry –is immensely rewarding and satisfying.
There are many good reasons and even more fun “excuses” to go on a trip, meet your peers and spend a week talking with people who share your passion for the business. However, I deliberately focused on the 3 reasons above because they are so crucial for anyone in the matchmaking and dating industry.
